[NEWS] 2014 : A Space Odyssey - Mapping Competetion

Serioussite.ru announces the new competition for map makers all over the globe! Such contests were held annually in the russian community, but this year we're spreading it over to seriouszone, to see if you can surpass us. The main theme for the competition is, as you may have noticed, the space. Here are the rules:

• The action should take place either directly in space, or aboard some starship/asteroid, but not on a planet;
  
• No auxiliary DLLs or patches, all other custom resources allowed;
  
• The map should be thoroughly packed into a single GRO.
  
• The map should take no less than 15 minutes to play through on Normal difficulty;
  
• The development process should be completely secret: no screenshots, no information published about your map until the contest is over;
  
• Maps that were in development before the contest started are not accepted;
  

You can build your map for either one of these games:

• Serious Sam Classic: TSE
  
• Serious Sam HD: TSE
  
• Serious Sam 3: BFE
  
• Serious Sam Revolution
  

Prizes:

• Serious Sam Complete Pack
  
• XCOM: Enemy Unknown + The Bureau: XCOM Declassified
  
• Sanctum 2
  

1st place: Chooses any of the three games/packs listed above and gets additional 1000 RUB*
2nd place: Chooses any of the remaining two and also gets 500 RUB
3rd place: Gets the remaining game

*- in case of victory, the said amount of money and games will be added to your Steam account

To apply for the competition, just post a reply to this thread specifying the game you are going to map for. The deadline for this application is 30th, October. The deadline for finishing your map is 23:59:59 (Moscow time), 14th of December. When your map is ready, send it to nckgriva208@gmail.com.
